CKF is the Center for Economic
Forecasting of Mexico, and is dedicated to the analysis, modeling, and
forecasting of the Mexican economy. It was founded in 1994 by Lawrence R.
Klein (1980 Nobel Laureate in Economics) and Alfredo Coutiño, as an academic
institution and as part of Project LINK-United Nations. Since its foundation,
the CKF has the mission to be the National Center for Mexico, with the
responsibility to provide the forecast for the Mexican economy to be used in
the World Macroeconometric Model of the United Nations and the University of
